Ron Jones began his career in 1965 with WTVM Ch 9 in Columbus Georgia as a television camera operator. He immediately progressed to Director. From there Ron was promoted to Film Editor and eventually Producer and Executive Producer. In 1969 he accepted a position as an Executive Producer with Ch 17 in Atlanta Georgia. "I helped Ted Turner get his start in the Television Industry" as Ron likes to say. Ted Turner purchased WJRJ Ch 17 shortly after he got settled there. WJRJ was renamed WTCG, Turner Communications Group, and later was changed to WTBS, Turner Broadcasting.

Over the course of many years Ron has had the opportunity of Producing, Directing and working with such names as John Wayne, Merv Griffin, Johnny Carson, Bob Hope, David Jansen, Slim Pickins, Shari Lewis, Johnny Cash, Johnny Paycheck, Bill Anderson, Marty Robbins, Danny Thomas, Gary and Mary Ann Mobley, Lani O'Grady, Joan Van Ark, Jerry Lewis and a host of others. As Ron puts it, "I feel very lucky to have been able to meet and work with such great people....and I have also gained much knowledge from those folks".

After moving to Panama City Florida to start enjoying the FUN in The SUN he continued to progress in what he loves to do most..SHOW BIZ! Ron was contracted by Universal Studios to film scenes for the movie "CONDOMINIUM" that was filmed in the 80's in Panama City Beach.
As a Video Historian his collection of old film and video tape date back to the 20's.
